Really excited by the prospect of seeing and hearing Michael Marra perform with BBC Scotland Symphony Orchestra at City Halls, Glasgow on 10 June 2007. Was there in Jamuary when Michael had to cancel his appearance due to illness. The songs included in the programme are amongst my favourites with Schenectady Calling Peerie Willie Johnson being particularly poignant due to the recent passing of Willie Johnson. It will also be great to hear Martyn Bennett's " Liberation" from the album "Grit" being performed live with the orchestra.
