I was born in 1948. I have been into music since I was 5 and started by learning the piano. At 12 I joined the Alva Brass band and when I was sixteen I joined the Forbes MacFarlane and his band where I played string bass and a bit of accordion as well as piano. I worked as an engineer in the coal mines for 22 years and then I worked with Clackmannanshire council in various jobs in the 24 years I was there. I am married with two children Andrew and Arlene who are also musical. I love almost all music from Classical to Celtic. I love the music of Blair Douglas, Runrig and Skerryvore to name but a few but the list is endless. I have all of Blair's cd's and everyone is better than the last one. He is such an amazing man.
