Passionate about song, the Scots language and childhood. So much so I also write childrens stories and perform them in my fairy guise Susi Sweet Pea the Fairy in The Wee Folk Storytellers.
I perform my songs solo and it has been said I can make a rowdy pub go silent when I play one of my songs. I do not think its because folks are feart of me....at least...I don't think so. My songs are heartfelt explorations of life just like most songwriters i suppose. But I suppose you will only know if you like my music if you hear and feel it for yourself!
My passions have brought me to kick start the local music festival up again. Midsummer Music being our main event in the summer. During the year we collaborate with the local Mill on the Fleet venue and put on monthly shows. Feel free to get in contact if you wish to play there. We are in the South West of Scotland.
The main ethos of The Mill Sessions are to showcase local talented songwriters as well as professionals from further afield who may not ordinarily come to the town to perform. So far we have had Jane Siberry, Ewan McLennan, Sean Taylor and Farino. A range of musical styles are welcome in our small and intimate venue.
We pride ourselves on being fully acoustic. No wires or monitors between audience and performer.
