Tony and Jason Sellars are Dundee based professional jazz musicians who have performed extensively throughout the United Kingdom for well over a decade. Versatile musicians, they have been heard in many different contexts featuring Tony on saxophone and clarinet and Jason on trumpet and flugelhorn. 

Their passion for jazz was ingnited in the late 1980s upon hearing the sound of the legendary Swing Era big bands such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. They have subsequently developed a deep understanding and love for all genres of jazz and a keen appreciation of its history.

The Sellars Brothers Quintet is a dynamic and skilful group steeped in the hard bop tradition. It is equally at home playing fiery jazz classics and imaginative originals as it is at interpreting American popular songs from the likes of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and Jimmy Van Heusen. In addition to Tony and Jason the quintet regularly features Andy James, drums; Adam Bisset, piano; Kenny Irons / Colin Cunningham, bass.  The Sellars Brothers Trio is an accoustic group which specialises in providing subtle and sensitive music appropriate for creating a perfect ambience. It has provided the backdrop for drinking and dining from small, intimate, parties in homes and marquees to large scale corporate events, weddings, and outdoor occasions. Tony and Jason continue to have a love of big band jazz, from swing to contemporary. Tony has held the position of musical director of the University of Dundee Big Band for over twelve years while Jason leads and coaches the brass section.

In addition, the Sellars Brothers can assemble a big band which can be tailored to the particular requirements of any event, drawing upon an extensive library of music which can be suited for listening or dancing.
