This is track 2 from the band's debut album... Candle Lane is a little cobbled lane that runs from Dundee's Seagate to Dock Street just around the corner from the Seagate Studios where Kit and Keith attended a "New Deal For Musicians" type Bru course and when Gregor would come in to work with them it was the only place he could park in town without paying or getting a ticket. This was the inspiration for the song which originally went, "Take a trip down Candle Lane, If you want to park your Peugot." Yip! 'fraid so. GREGOR:- I thought this was the best band performance of the first album....particularly Dougies(Drums). Kit! it wasn't a Peugot it was a Renualt! I suppose Peugot scans better does it Mr Lyrics? Hee hee! Kit:- It was white is all I know Mr Cars! |
